About the Council
The Council consists of three independent experts appointed for three-year terms. Established in 2018. The Council is serviced by Insurance & Pension Denmark and Finance Denmark.
When pension companies and financial institutions calculate pension projections and return expectations for their customers, they use the assumptions set by the Council for Return Expectations.
The Council for Return Expectations determines calculation assumptions for expected returns and the risk associated with various investment assets.
These assumptions are updated twice a year.

Contributors
The Council sets return assumptions for 10 asset classes for the short term (years 1–5) and medium term (years 6–10) based on input from expert sources. Contributions come from the following financial institutions.
